Introduction

'In Your Shoes', through the participation of local schools and workplaces, is a second hand footwear collection program, where members of the community get to donate any old wearable footwear to a worthy cause. It is a project which will allow all involved to make a difference and take time out to realise that something as simple as a pair of shoes can make a massive difference in the lives of people less fortunate than ourselves.

All footwear collected will be donated to Kids Off The Kerb, a newly-formed charity that is using the environmental and recycling platforms to provide sustainable opportunities for at risk young people, by providing them with support and linking them into productive activities and programs, including education, training and employment. Kids Off The Kurb will sort and distribute the shoes to local and international charities/markets, where they will go to people less fortunate, allowing them to afford shoes for possibly the first time in their lives. Further information about Kids Off The Kerb can be found at www.kidsoffthekerb.com.

By working with Kids Off The Kerb, FM Recycling Solutions and Pacific Brands, my personal target is to collect over 10,000 pairs of clean, wearable footwear in the current program and to initiate future programs, aiming to relieve the shortage of shoes amongst our charities and create awareness amongst the community.

If it sounds like something you, your family, school, workplace or club would be interested in supporting, please contact Fran Davide at fran@inyourshoes.com.au or Kids Off The Kerb on +61 3 9464 6677

Go on, let others take a turn at walking "In Your Shoes".
