How You Can Get Involved

This year, we will be conducting two collection periods:

7-19 September; and

5-17 October 2009.

Once we have set a collection date with you, shoes from your collection will be transported to the Kids Off The Kerb warehouse in Thomastown.

There are no restrictions to the type and size of shoes we would like to collect.

Click here for instructions and some ideas about how to run your project. We've also included a poster and a newsletter advertisement that can be used for promotion.

At the end of the collection, you can advise us of the final tally of shoes collected by sending an email to inyourshoes.kotk@gmail.com.

Should you have any enquiries, please don't hesitate to contact us via email. If you wish to discuss any questions over the phone, please advise the best time to reach you and we will get back to you.

We Need Your Support!

In Your Shoes is an innovative and important project which you can be a part of by helping Melbourne and Australia in creating humanitarian and environmental solutions.

In Your Shoes is being led by volunteers, and we welcome your support in the form of financial and physical donations to Kids Off The Kerb.

Key benefits of supporting In Your Shoes and Kids Off The Kerb include:

  • Provide a unique and exciting opportunity for your students to learn about the importance of global aid, recycling and the environment.
  • Creating practical sustainable solutions for the global waste and landfill crisis;
  • Becoming a part of an exciting not-for-profit organization that promotes environmental and sustainability awareness;
  • Helping to provide employment and other opportunities for disenfranchised young people who are currently struggling to find work in this current economic climate.
  • If you know of colleagues, family, friends or organizations who may be interested in this important cause, please pass on this information package and our contact emails: inyourshoes.kotk@gmail.com or nathan@kidsoffthekerb.com. Please also join us on our facebook group In Your Shoes 2009! and become a fan at 'In Your Shoes!'
